This excursion consists of a walk in which we will
visit the Ermita de San Gines and we will
walk through the valley that forms the river of
Fuentes, which flows behind the hill of the
hermitage. The approximate duration is about 1 or
1,5 hours.
The route starts close to the Ermita de San Roque,
where we will follow the path direction to
Briongos de Cervera. When walked about 1
kilometre, more or less, we will arrive to the
crossing where a path goes up to the hermitage, from
which we can enjoy with a nice view of the village
and its environment.
The path continues behind the hermitage, we will
follow it about 100 metres until to arrive to the
river of Fuentes, where starts in north
direction a valley till the main road to Briongos.
During a large extent of the year the river has a
lot of water, so that this route is a very nice
experience. If we go open-eyed it will be possible
to see some wild boar or some fox.
When we arrive to the main road we will find a
meadow from where we will go to the east in order to
find a path for carts that will take us directly to
La Parada del Cid.
